Meet the Author & Illustrator

Christine Baumann | Author

Christine Baumann is a first-time children’s book author. Her debut book series celebrates the everyday heroism of kindness, courage, and empathy in a story inspired by her own Jack Russell Terrier, who is named Alyxander after the Greek God, “Defender of Humanity”.

The story was born at Midtown Beach in Palm Beach when Alyx discovered a special seashell. Leaping and twirling, he insisted on sharing his discovery with everyone around him. That spunky leap of joy became Christine’s creative heart: through Alyx’s adventures with his friend Gabriel, children see how even the smallest heroes can make an extraordinary difference through everyday humanity.

Beyond writing, Christine loves spending time with her husband, Craig, Alyx, and his big sister, Bree.
